 Birds Australia has a long and proud history of excellence in publishing. Our earliest publication was the Emu which began life as a newsletter but has since grown into a scientific journal of world-renown. Wingspan is our Whitley Award winning member magazine, published quarterly. Also a Whitley winner, the Handbook of Australian, New Zealand and Antarctic Birds (HANZAB) gathers together everything we know about the Australian bird fauna.
More recently, we have launched the State of Australia's Birds (SOAB). SOAB draws on information generated by BA's research and conservation projects and prevailing scientific knowledge to focus attention on major conservation issues.
