birdswa Email List Print E-mail

The Birds Australia WA committee has approved an opt-in email list for the sharing of Western Australian birding information. This list will operate similarly to the birding-aus email list, except that it is a subscriber only list where only subscribers can post messages to the list.

To join the list, send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . No subject line or message body is required. You will shortly receive an email confirming your subscription.

After you have subscribed to the list, you will receive every email sent to the list. You can send your messages to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . Your message will be sent to all subscribers (including yourself so that you can confirm that it was received).

Rob Davis is the administrator of the list. Only genuine and important information should be posted to reduce email volume. You are permitted to send attachments with your messages, but if you send large attachments (>100kb), or attachments with viruses you will quickly attract the displeasure of the other subscribers. If you reply to a message, then please delete the parts of the previous message that don't apply to your response.

This list is not listed on the internet for public viewing and is a private subscriber only list, and so this should dramatically limit the amount of junk mail that is posted. Only people subscribed to the list can send or view messages.

Suitable messages to send to the list include:

    Interesting sightings
    Requests for information
    Meeting/excursion changes
    Trip reports
    BAWA events

For interesting sightings, we would appreciate that you also continue to send them to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it , but we hope that will only be in the interim.

If you wish to unsubscribe from the email list permanently or temporarily while you are away, then send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . No subject line or message body is needed.
