2009 Conservation Forum Brisbane
30 May is the date for the Birds Australia Conservation Forum being hosted by BASQ.
The theme of the Forum is “Reconnect (with) the Bush”. Two meanings
are encapsulated in this theme: “Reconnect the Bush” is about restoring
corridors at the landscape scale, and “Reconnect with the Bush” is
about engaging the Australian public by education, awareness raising,
and encouraging them into action. BASQ is in the process of lining up a team of
eminent speakers for the occasion. The venue will be the Palms
International Conference Centre at Virginia in Brisbane. It is reasonably close to the airport. There is motel and villa accommodation available on site, and in nearby locations. It is on a bus route and is a one kilometre walk from Sunshine Railway Station. The BA Annual general meeting will take place on the same day. For more information contact
